About

FREITAG is the AI-driven audiovisual production arm of Montag School, in São Paulo. They arrived without a fixed idea of what the site should be, and stayed open through the whole exploration. The direction came out of that: a site that would prove what the agency claims, by being used. A portfolio grid is built to be scanned and compared. That is the right shape when people arrive by searching. FREITAG's audience arrives by a link the agency sends, so the site does something else: there is no grid and there are no pages. The whole studio is a single navigable space, and each project is a place inside it. There is no transition between pages because there are none to transition between. The same argument runs one layer down, in the surface. The visual language leans on computed effects: ordered dither, halftone, type that scrambles before it settles. Things read as made rather than captured. None of it costs the practical part. Every state has its own address, so a single project can be sent to a single client, and the back button behaves. The team publishes it themselves. Cases, images, the opening film and client logos all come from a panel, with no code involved.
